Ernest Hemingway and his wife survived two jungle airplane crashes during a big game expedition in northern Uganda. They were rescued with no injuries after a damaged chartered plane failed to tail the wild upper Nile country near Murchison Falls. Mrs. Mary Trent Dies in Local Hospital
Mrs. Mary Margaret Trent died at 9 30 a m in a local hospital after a month illness. Born July 20 1887 in Tennessee she lived in Kirkland since 1911. Surviving are two sons Ben and Oscar, a sister Pluma Jordon, two brothers J C Crawford and H Crawford, and nine grandchildren. Funeral arrangements pending arrival of relatives with burial at Childress Cemetery.
