Funeral services for 86 year old Laura Swaim of Amarillo and formerly of Childress are scheduled for 2 p.m. at Newberry Chapel with J R Chism of the Childress Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. She died Friday at St Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo after living with a daughter for two years. She was born September 15, 1890 in Red Clay Georgia and moved to Childress County about 1912. She married William Swaim in 1917. he died in 1965. Survivors include daughter Doris Blake of Amarillo and grandson Mike Blake of Yukon Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be nephews.
