Reeves Services Set for Thursday in Childress
Mrs. Newman Reeves, 68, longtime Childress resident, died Tuesday in Bethania Hospital Wichita Falls after weeks of illness. Born December 25, 18%, in Henrietta, she moved to Childress County in 1913. She married Newman Reeves November 10, 1922 in Childress and was active in First Methodist Church WSCS choir and Philathea Class. Funeral at 1 p.m. Thursday at First Methodist with pastors Burgin Watkins Joe Allen and Dave Brummett Jr. Interment Childress Cemetery. Newberry Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include husband, son Leroy Reeves, grandson Mike Reeves, four Brummett brothers, three Brummett sisters and sister-in-law Margaret Jarrell.
