Funeral rites for Alvin H. Garner of 2242 Hamilton in Pampa will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Methodist Church. Rev. W. W. Adcock and Rev. Jack Riley will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Garner was killed in the Borgers refinery explosion of Phillips Petroleum. He was born February 23, 1913, in Childress and had lived in Pampa 26 years. He was a pipe fitter.

Survivors include her husband a son Joe Stribling of Canyon a daughter Mrs John Ballew brother George Thaten and sister Mrs Dorman Groseclose, all of Childress.
