Nine Indictments Returned by Childress County Grand Jury
Nine indictments were returned by the Childress County Grand Jury yesterday afternoon. Indicted with two counts each were De Loris Washington Ella Fay White Cynthia Ann Johnson and Emmit Earl Dedrick all of Lubbock for theft of over. The four were arrested in Floydada in January after shoplifting clothes from Buckleys Mens Store and Watkins. All are out on 1500 bond each Daryel Lynn Keith was indicted on one count for driving while intoxicated second offense out on 1000 bond. Also arrested in January Sam Carmack was selected as Foreman of the Grand Jury with members Lon Moore Virgil Patterson Nolan Cawthon Fred Cordell Hezzie Brown Arthur Rothwell Leon Henley John Browning Harper Knight and Guy Moseley.

February costs edge up as consumer price index steady
UPI reports Arthur M. Ross of the Labor Statistics Bureau says February costs may rise slightly from December and January after January CPI held at 114.7% of the 1957-59 average. Food, clothing and car prices fell while services and hospital charges rose, tempering overall movement.
