A low pressure system brought snow to the Panhandle with showers across Texas. Dalhart reported 2 inches, Amarillo 1 inch, and Denver areas saw up to 14 inches further north. Temperatures plunged to 10 degrees as skies cleared, while no Panhandle roads were closed and schools stayed open. The storm expanded eastward melting in the Deep South as northern roads remained difficult.
