Cold Front To Bring Scattered Thundershowers
Unseasonably mild weather continued in Texas as a cold front was forecast to arrive in the northwestern corner early Wednesday bringing a few thundershowers. County Officials Get Pay Boost From Court In Session
The commissioners court approved a salary increase for all county employees and elected officials except the four County Commissioners. Paducah Rites Held Today For Jimmie Wilcox
Funeral services for James Jimmie Carver Wilcox 61 of Paducah were held at 2 p m in the First Christian Church with Rev Kenneth Wyatt and Rev Ivan Adams officiating. Burial followed at Garden of Memories Cemetery with the Paducah Masonic Lodge assisting. Wilcox died Sunday at his home after a career with the U S Department of Agriculture. He had served as secretary of the Paducah Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture Development and had lived in Paducah 20 years. He is survived by his wife Priscilla, a sister Mildred Hamrick and a cousin Rube Tye.
