City Council Receives Expenditure Report for Local Water Authority

High Winds Hit County City and Dust Storm Damages
Winds blowing 65 to 70 mph last night rocked Childress County with a peak gust of 75 mph at 7 p m at the FAA station. A blowing dust storm began at 2 p m, with visibility down to one half mile between 6 and 8 p m. Dust and winds continued until 5 a m. Police reported one injury and only damage was a plate glass window at the National Farm Loan Association Building.
