Robbers robbed the Childress Elks Lodge 1113 after 11 p m on Friday taking over 400 dollars in general fund plus 37 95 for the Children's Fund. The safe was opened by force and torn bottom, a separate 400 dollar compartment untouched, and an unknown amount of checks was taken. The cash register yielded 5 dollars and cigars and cigarettes vanished. Police and sheriff investigated with no suspects identified.
