House approves self employed retirement tax relief plan
The House Ways and Means Committee backed a tax relief program for self employed individuals to defer income taxes on up to 10 percent of annual income into special retirement funds until age 70. It would cap deferrals at 2500 dollars per year and 50000 dollars lifetime, with penalties for early withdrawals. The measure, opposed by the Treasury which estimates a 360 million dollar revenue loss in year one, could reach a full House vote next week and likely Senate action this year.

Retired Farmer McNeal Dies By Own Hand in Carey
Justice of the Peace J Paul Goodson ruled death by own action in the case of 53 year old William Clyde McNeal a Carey retiree found shot in his bedroom on Sunday evening. Evidence included a 22 rifle and no suicide note though illness had troubled him. He is survived by wife Georgia two sons Grover and W C and several siblings and a granddaughter.
