Ruby Roberts 72 of 11203 Sunnyslope Beaumont California died after a long illness at Heritage Garden Convalescent Home Loma Linda California. Funeral services are pending in Beaumont. She was mother of B Leslie Carrick of Cee Vee and grandmother of Larry Carrick Childress and Mrs Jerry McClendon Paducah. She and husband Lee moved from Cee Vee to Beaumont in May 1949. Surviving daughters include Leota Stanley Fontana Irmadean Geist Rialto Mamie Hitchcock Beaumont and Carrick Cee Vee. Four daughters 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mr and Mrs Carrick and Randall Merrill of Cee Vee left for Beaumont today.

Children Burn In Locked Car In Houston Tragedy
A three month old girl Sandra Keller died after a fire in a locked car outside a supermarket where her mother shopped. Her two year old brother Kevin Keller was in critical condition. A bystander Travis Parker, 22, assisted by smashing the windshield and rescuing both children. The mother, in shock, said she should not have left them. Fire officials suspect a pile of clothing on the rear seat started the blaze.
