Cambodian Leader Signals New Stance on Viet Cong Sanctuaries
Cambodian Chief of State Norodom Sihanouk told the Washington Post he would not intervene militarily if U.S. forces cross into Cambodia to fight Vietnamese Communists illegally present in uninhabited areas. He said protests would be lodged with both sides, and a U.N. Security Council appeal would follow if incursions or bombings occur in inhabited regions.
