What you probably never knew about aluminum care

Aluminum gray aging outdoors is preventable with lacquer or wax free of abrasives. Anodized aluminum gains color slowly. painted or porcelainized finishes resist color changes. Clean painted aluminum with water then mild soap. porcelainized surfaces tolerate any powder and soap. Wash house siding with a long brush from bottom up while wet to avoid streaks. Remove factory oil with phosphoric acid before priming with zinc chromate if painting. Mirror-bright pots require only soap and detergents.
