Born February 2 1895 in Quanah she worked for The Index Amarillo News Globe Lovington Leader and chaired the Loving ton Chamber of Commerce. Deaf 17-Year-Old Genius Found After 12 Silent Years
In SULPHUR Oklahoma a 17 year old deaf boy who spent 12 years in an institution for the mentally retarded is found to have a genius IQ. A radio inspired state officials to reassess him and he is moved to the Oklahoma School for the Deaf to begin formal reading and education. Blood needs rise as eight pints shipped to Childress

Brother of Estelline Resident Dies in Amarillo Crash
Riley Evans Rigsby, brother of Mrs. Stanley Nelson of Estelline, died in a car train collision late Saturday in Amarillo. Funeral services for Mr. Rigsby will be held Wednesday in Matador. Also killed were Daniel Leon Smith Cecelia Anne Strout and Carolyn Jane Williams of Amarillo. Williams born in Memphis had been in Amarillo nine months after living in Clarendon 18 years. Funeral services for Miss Williams were held today in Clarendon.
