The Commissioners Court deputized 10 Childress Jaycees as poll tax collectors. They will operate from the Hagan Adams Insurance office at 200 Main Street each Saturday. Eldon Holley chairs the drive and other appointees include Martin E. Allison R. E. Gentry Buddy Cordell Bill Monroe Joe Hardison Joe Dillenkoffer Morris Sullivan J W Crowe and Dick Mitchell. The group also plans trophies for the Junior Livestock Breeders Show in January and Bosses Night during National Jaycee Week. They aim to have at least 40 members at the Tri Regional meeting in Amarillo January 7.

22 Year Olds Top November Draft Figures in Texas
