Funeral services are set for Ronald Alvin Davis 56, a former resident of Amarillo, at 2 p.m. Friday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Chapel Amarillo with Dr Shewbert of Dumas officiating. Burial will be Memorial Park Cemetery Amarillo. Davis died at his home Wednesday. He was born in Fort Worth and moved to Childress in 1930. He taught in Childress schools and later coordinated the Veterans School. He owned the Cactus Motel in Amarillo and had lived there eight years after moving from Lubbock area. He was a Methodist. Survivors include his wife Cozette and sons Lindlee Dumas and Cagle Hereford, his mother Mrs. Ollie Davis Plainview, brothers Earl Lubbock Bernie Paducah, sisters Mrs Ed Stennett Plainview and Mrs Elsie Tice Corpus Christi, and three grandchildren.
