Ramsey Denies Charge In deposition over 1954 ads
Lt. Gov. Ben Ramsey denied in deposition that he paid or authorized payment for campaign advertising alleged to have been published without listing as a campaign expense. C. T. Johnson, Ramsey opponent in 1954, filed suit in October alleging a conspiracy with Vernon T. Sanford to evade state election law and that Sanford was paid 5500 on June 12 1954 and 6600 on July 10 1954 for newspaper ads.
