Riders were Louis Eaton and Clem Timmons with Johnson as alternate. Second place went to W E F Helms team in 2 hours 45 minutes, riders Clay ton Smith and Carroll Cheatham, alternate Jack Loudermilk. Four horses per team were used, totaling 16 horses, all found in good shape after the ride.
