Minnesota potato crop outlook from September reports

Active onion deal in Midwest fields this week

Chicago reports heavy buying of Indiana onions with prices up to 7c per bushel and carload figures at 1.50 to 1.60 FOB Indiana. Dealers say much stock remains unsold though much of the choice red globe onions has moved. Wisconsin shipments from Racine fetch 1.60 FOB and volume remains brisk as growers await clearer market position.

Wisconsin Cheese Market Prices Rise on Active Trade

In Sheboygan Wisconsin this week cheese trading shows strength with local prices up by about half a cent. White Twins and Flats command 15 to 15 ¾ cents, Daisies 16 cents, Longhorns 15 ¾ to 16 ¾ cents, Americas 16 to 16 ½ cents, while Twins and other varieties meet demand from eastern markets New York and Boston.
