Colorado Has Normal Crop Of Potatoes
Monte Vista Colorado September 17 Colorado should have a normal potato crop this season despite hot dry August weather. The Agriculture Department cut its September 1 production estimate 2 120 000 bushels from August 1. Main shrinkage hit the San Luis valley with projected carrot shipments varying 7 000 to 9 000 cars. With improved conditions the past two weeks shippers expect about 8 000 cars from the valley this year. The seasonal movement will be heavy as lower prices spur truck volume.
