Louisville Nov 15 The Packer notes the United Creameries Produce Co now in assets assignment with J W Baird appointed as trustee and in charge of the business, a matter tied to the Brady Merchants Refrigerating Co combination in Kansas City.
Pea Ridge Cantaloupe and Truck Growers Association elected H. E. Towry as president L. O. McClusky as vice president and J. Mosby Fulton as secretary and treasurer at Macedonia Pea Ridge. Fulton will be shipping point for the group with W H Knox of Nashville Chattanooga and St Louis railroad appearing to offer help and favorable rates. The association plans initial 300 acres of cantaloupes plus cabbage and other crops and aims to expand before planting time.

No recent complaints about his operations have been reported and his wife is described as wealthy.
Turkey shipments from Kentucky are light for the season due to currency shortages. Estimated not more than 25 cents per pound will be shipped compared with normal fall prices as of November 16 in Cincinnati. Refrigerated cars see minimal loading. last season’s numbers are far higher. Farmers are paid cash at nine cents per pound while delivered prices in southern Ohio and Indiana range from 11 to 1e.
