Red River Valley Potato Movement Is Only Moderate
Grand Forks North Dakota November 4 Movement of potatoes in the Red River valley has slowed markedly in the last two weeks and dealers expect little heavy movement until the seed deal begins in December. Minnesota and North Dakota shipments are about 2300 cars less than last year at this date with many loads stored in northwest warehouses. About 20 new warehouses have been built and are reportedly full, and stock under cover reduces urgency to move. Small price increases draw offers, while price declines halt movement.
