Berry Mes Express Equipment Case Watched by Ohio Officials
Cincinnati May 18 Fred M Ren shaw traffic manager for the Chamber of Commerce urged the Interstate Commerce Commission to decide the case on furnishing refrigerator express equipment for moving strawberries. The complaint by Oyler Son and others filed in 1920 charges unjust discrimination and seeks carload rates and express refrigerator service from southern points to northern markets. The hearing in 1921 found discrimination in failing to provide equipment and rates. the commission has not yet acted, with observers linking delay to broader express rate investigations and other regional cases.
