New Laws Passed by North Dakota Legislature
Bismarck March 46 Among laws passed by the Legislature are measures affecting potato and grain seed growers and dealers. H B 63 empowers county commissioners to enforce collection of outstanding seed loans and to order the attorney general to sue when papers are past due. It allows extensions when forcing correction would cause hardship. H B 62 amends former laws to authorize levying by counties of a special interest and sinking fund to retire county seed bonds. H B 61 repeals several bills including the County Seed and Feed Act, once needed as farmers struggled to buy seed in parts of the state.
