Imperial lettuce market rules stronger in Imperial Valley
Imperial Valley lettuce demand remained very active with supplies tight as shippers report under 1,500 cars in the valley on March 1. Market climbed to 1.75 to 2 per crate for fours and fives, with sixes around 1.26 and top ice extra. Growth conditions were excellent, fields being cleaned up, and no major blow-up program expected for March.

First Delta asparagus pool car shipped from Stockton

Humboldt Tenn March 3 The cabbage acreage in west Tennessee this year will likely be about the same as last year with a possible 10 percent increase.
