Frank S. Melvin Dies at 74 in Chicago
Frank S. Melvin, 74, died Thursday afternoon at West Side Hospital after a lingering illness. A longtime figure among shippers and dealers, he spent most of his life in the produce trade. He worked with Gilbert & Ritchie of Yakima Washington and R. H. Pennington of Evansville Indiana, and later with G. M. H. Wagner & Sons before poor health forced his resignation.
