In Laredo Texas on June 20 the State dropped ten charges against onion and produce operator Joseph Rosenblum after testimony from B M Alexander president of Laredo National Bank. Alexander described a full settlement of Rosenblum s debts totaling about 200000 and urged dismissal as best for all. Rosenblum then returned to Laredo and resumed business.

Brighton Colorado June 20 The Colorado cabbage acreage rose by 20 to 25 percent from last year according to local shipper estimates. Northern Colorado from Denver to Greeley sees most of the gain with Pueblo also reporting more plantings. Copenhagen and Danish varieties form the bulk of the late crop with some Enkhussen and Copenhagen early plantings for late July and August markets. The late crop ships mainly in September and October, tapering in November and December, with a few cars from storage in January. Last year Colorado shipped about 800 carloads. this season production is expected to reach 1,000 cars.
