Normal weather could spur movement of early stock by July 15 with shipments starting late July or early August. Acreage across northern sections shows gains for both early and late stock.

Arkansas peach production for the season is estimated at 1900 to 2200 cars, with about 1000 to 1300 cars from Nashville Highland De Queen Horatio districts, 400 to 500 from Clarksville Lamar, 250 to 300 from Crowley Ridge and 150 to 200 from western Arkansas. Last year froze in April. this year cold in March damaged fruit. Early varieties are moving, with Fair Beauties late June and main crop around July 15 to 20. Test Constitutionality of Penna Chain Store Tax
