New York July 23 Sam Deusch one of the Easts largest celery operators held a creditors meeting at his lawyer's office reporting assets of 39847 75 with liabilities around 81020 27 He proposed payment through secured notes totaling 100 percent over four installments from 1916 to 1917 with two trustees named Burnett and Coles and Irving National Bank as a third trustee The meeting heard an apparently honest failure attributed to two years of bad luck and crop losses from storms and rotting stock including Florida celery and California stock worsened by storage costs and sale delays The creditors representing over 60000 of liabilities attended and a detailed sworn statement of accounts was presented with real estate and other assets listed and the plan set for secured payment.
