Will Attempt to Pass Michigan Chain Store Bill Over Veto
Lanning Mich July 7 Any attempt will be made by the Michigan legislature when it meets here July 17 to pass the chain store tax bill over Governor Comstock s veto. The bill as passed last month would impose privilege fees from 10 a store on chains of two or three stores up to 250 a store on chains of more than 25 stores. Sponsors estimate it would raise 3 000 000 of revenue.
