He will join a Southeast cooperative committee to address the Southern class rate adjustment with the Interstate Commerce Commission and act as Florida’s representative in the Florida fruit and vegetable line haul hearing before the ICC. The panel also includes A G Patterson and James A Perry of Alabama and Georgia commissions. The effort seeks a mileage based rate structure and uniformity to the Seaboard Air Line with a 15 percent post Seaboard increase below that line. Responses are due by February 21 to carrier requests for a 31 percent cut below Seaboard.
