Current differential ranges from 6 percent to 11 44 cents per hundredweight. The industry has grown from a side issue to a major income source. In 1919 one carload shipped, last year 14 carloads, and this year 100 carloads have been sent. Crops average crates per acre. prices range from 150 to 1650 per crate with 330 crates per car.
