Rates Bring Potatoes and Cabbage Reductions to Pittsburgh and Buffalo
Buffalo and Pittsburg dealers, via the National League, filed with the Interstate Commerce Commission for rate adjustments and refunds on Charleston to Buffalo and Pittsburgh shipments. Reductions take effect Sept. 20 with per barrel potato rates dropping from 41 to 62.9 cents to Pittsburgh and to Buffalo from 44 to 45 cents, plus cabbage rates easing from 77 to 64.8 cents to Pittsburgh and 79 to 67.2 cents to Buffalo.
