Baum & Co Denies Ties to Wabash Produce Co

Letter from Henry Baum and Co of Kansas City disclaims any interest in the Wabash Produce Co of Fort Wayne Indiana. They assert Shatzer personally owes them and that Baum and Co had no ongoing stake in the store at Wabash. The reply requests a correction in the paper and explains prior involvement ended years ago. A separate note reports Louis Shatzer now heads Wabash Wholesale Fruit House and seeks debt compromises. A Yakima cooling plant project is announced with August 10 start and 100 car capacity plus a 20 car fast-chill room.
