Roger C Sullivan’s friends and the regular Democratic organization triumph in Chicago wards. Joseph M. Smith, a Sullivan ally, elected in the Fourteenth by 609. Voters backed annexation efforts for Cicero and Morgan Park with mixed results. Saloon opponents lost in Cook County, while a big bond plan for police and hospital funding faced rejection.
