Land Office ruling on annual mining expenditures
The General Land Office clarifies Section 2324 Revised Statutes stating that claims located before May 10 1872 must make first annual expenditure by January 1 1875 and second by January 1 1876 while newer claims must expend within one year of discovery. The ruling defines the schedule and applicability of local mining laws to record losses.
