Detachments of one officer and ten enlisted men will stay at Fort Bridger and Camp Stambaugh until all public property is removed then join their companies. Posts will be left under charge of quartermasters' agents. Medical supplies go to Fort Sanders while the main force moves to Fort Russell.
The Bellingham Bay Mail reports sixteen thousand cattle moving from eastern Washington Territory toward Cheyenne. Ten thousand head are for Lang and Ryan, six thousand for Edwards and Edenharter. The purchase spree has run for six months, and the coming drove is said to exceed any seen on the North Pacific coast.
An article compares tune in instruments to the human body and recommends Hostetter s Stomach Bitters as a remedy and invigorant. It claims the tonic aids digestion, relieves dyspepsia nervousness rheumatic issues and prevents fever and ague while counteracting predisposition to disease.
The Commissioners of Laramie county invite bids by 10:00 a.m. Tuesday June 4 1878 for building a bridge across Pole Creek at Schwartze's ranch and grading approaches. Plans and specifications are in the office of R W Jordan 357 Seventeenth street. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved. A H Swan Chairman Board Co Com.
