Przemysl and rail hubs secured, reinforcements pouring in from mobilization centers. German and Austrian troops bolster Galicia defenses while Cracow remains under German control.
In Salt Lake City near the Utah state prison a bandit held up cashier George A. Goff and bookkeeper Goff, forced them to the vault, and escaped with 1625 as customers were not harmed. The robber used a hands up demand and fled after securing the door to the vault.
