Laura Belle Taylor a 17 year old Pueblo County girl disappeared August 31 from her guardian home. She and Benny Jones were found returning to Pueblo on a freight. Taylor now says she was drugged and kidnapped driven down the Arkansas river in a boat by Jones. Authorities maintain she left home voluntarily and was conscious during her flight. Jones denied initial charges then disappeared after release.

Train Kills Runner Near Cheyenne Frontier
An unknown white laborer was struck and killed by eastbound passenger train Number near Bo rie ten miles west of Cheyenne at dawn yesterday. Engineer Meyer ly sounded the whistle as the man stepped between the rails but did not clear the end. The body was found later by a railway section crew and taken to Cheyenne for inquest. Justice of the Peace ordered an inquest with jurors empaneled.
