El Paso Texas August 31 “Goa” Pancual Orozco Mexican revolutionary leader was killed late today by United States troopers and a posse of custom officials in a battle in Green River canyon Culberson County Texas. Four companions were run into the foothills and are dead or missing. Orozco was said to lead the Colorado faction that plotted to seize border states for Mexico. He escaped after the arrest with General Huerta, both suspected of planning a new Mexican revolution.

Mrs Leonard Holmes of Long Beach survived injuries from an automobile wreck that killed her husband WY L Holmes and his parents Mr and Mrs Holmes and a fifth occupant William Craig. The car traveling about thirty miles an hour plunged after the bridge fell, rolled over and dropped twenty five feet. Mrs Holmes escaped with minor injuries while others were trapped beneath the car.

R Artwamt a 24 year old oiler, fell into a fly wheel while oiling a hot-box at the Union Pacific shops and was crushed. He died before machinery could be shut off as coworkers and a brother arrived for funeral arrangements at Early's chapel. The incident left three others hospitalized and involved a separate subway assault on foreigners by four Mexicans.
