The famed bulldog Pete belonging to Colonel Roosevelt reappeared in Washington after eight months, visiting the state war and navy departments. Police halted entry as Pete slipped inside with a companion, causing a commotion among clerks and visitors. Pete once frightened guards at the White House and has a long history of escapades and banishments.
The forecast calls for fair weather Sunday and Monday with little temperature change. Yesterday’s conditions recorded a high of 67 degrees and a low of 36 degrees.

Monsticatio, N. ., Oct. 29. Mia Minnie Curry bride of Amos Curry suddenly became insane at the altar as the minister spoke the vows. She spoke incoherently and fainted. her husband held her up and she was taken to the Middletown Insane Hospital for care.
Esther Rameay, 29, poured kerosene into a stove trying to start a fire in her Denver kitchen, flames enveloped her and she fled outside where she lay in weeds, screaming until help arrived. Her burns are described as severe and she faces critical injury.
