About 600 Union Pacific Coal miners in Sweetwater County boosted the Aberty loan drive with new contributions. Subscriptions rose from 30 000 to 42 000 and 45 000, then gifts of 10 000 from Elk Mountain. Superior miners added 82 000 and Rock Springs mines 830 000. John W. Lacey praised the effort.
