Russell Brothers Guilty of Murder in Sundance

John and George Russell pleaded guilty to murder in the second degree and were sentenced to life imprisonment. The case stems from the Culmerd ranch dance shooting in Sundance where deputy George Russell killed L. H. Limpton and, after Limpton fell, another shot ended his life amid jealousy rumors.

Two Killed in Union Pacific Wreck Near Nebraska Line

Union Pacific train No 7 the Los Angeles Limited west bound derailed after colliding with a freight near BUeknell Nebraska close to the Wyoming border. Fireman Crawford and Brakeman Moore of Cheyenne were killed and Engineer John Ulrich was severely scalded. No passengers were reported killed or seriously injured though all were shaken up. The wreck blocked the line for hours while authorities cleared the site and traffic resumed later. The passenger train had run late and was thought to be trying to make up time.
