Denver Colo October 21 The U S Supreme Court declined to dismiss Wyoming’s petition seeking an injunction to stop Colorado and irrigation entities from diverting water from the Laramie river watershed. Colorado was given 30 days to answer. dispute centers on 60000 acre feet moved through the Poudre tunnel and whether water from one watershed can be diverted to another without replacement.
The state immigration office will establish an exhibit hall in the Burlington depot at Sixteenth Street and Capitol Avenue to display mineral and agricultural items. Commissioner Roy Schenck says the hall, named the Wyoming Industrial Exhibit, will open to the public within weeks with glass cases for most exhibits and an amber electric sign outside. An attendant will guide visitors and literature will explain Wyoming resources. Schenck notes crops in the northern state are in good condition despite late rains and early snows affecting unharvested yields.
George Carroll, nearly 21, claims he found a dropped money parcel during a Sunday morning robbery at the Senate saloon. He says he picked up the money and fled to New York, while authorities pursue charges and pending trial in the Det Rich court. Carroll was captured at Lusk and is jailed awaiting court action. The theft totaled 1184 dollars with 952.55 recovered. Local sheriffs traced Carroll after reports he boasted of cash and shown a chisel.
