Two Aviators Die In Biplane Crash Near San Diego
In San Diego on November 24 two U S Army aviators, Lieutenants Hugh M Kelley and Eric Le Ellington, attached to the First Aero Corps, were instantly killed when their dual control biplane toppled from about 80 feet at North Island. Ellington, the instructor, and Kelley, receiving instruction, were killed as the aeroplane crashed after a signal to mechanicians. The cause of the accident cannot be determined.
