H Paxon of Wichita agreed to help with advertising as farmers prepare for the event, planned to run nine to ten days with promises of large attendance and promotional efforts.

Nov 10 report from Sydney confirms the German cruiser Emden was destroyed after a sharp pursuit and chase, its grave set on the Coope Islands south of Sumatra. British forces also bottled up the German cruiser Konigberg in Rufigi River, with the Chatham achieving the capture.
A freight train derailed into the Krauch family residence in Chicago at dawn injuring three relatives and killing four year old Edward Krautch. A two year old girl Bully Krauch was found under debris two hours later, presumed dead. Rescue workers recovered the child under wreckage.
George Kinghe of Chathestes Kansas sold a wheat crop for 31 000 at a price per bushel to a Garden City Kansas firm. The yield averaged 26 bushels to the acre.

Pittsburg Kansas November 10 A strike of nearly 1000 miners employed by the Chergiter and Pittsburg Coal and Mining company has been ordered by the executive board of the United Mine Workers of America district No 14. The action leaves the mines idle tonight as the district president Bernard Harrigan says the stoppage honors an employment agreement on a class of miners during certain hours.

Nov 10 reported in Washington that Max M Hanberry, defeated candidate for Congress in Kentucky’s first district, pledged to stay home. He affidavit stated his only promise was to remain with his wife and not to go to Washington, describing prayer and absence of danger in the campaign outcome.
