In Baltimore Cardinal Gibbons delivering an election eve sermon warned that the American republic would decay from voter lethargy and indifference. He argued the nation endures because power is distributed among the executive legislative and judicial branches, preventing usurpation. He urged citizens to reject pessimistic prophecies and remain engaged in political welfare.
S. G. Hopkins, chairman of the Democratic State Committee, urges Wyoming voters to back Thomas P. Pahey for Congress and the Democratic ticket for state legislature in the final election push. He appeals for Volunteers to work Monday and Tuesday to secure a large progressive majority and support for John B. Kendrick as U.S. senator.
