Early returns from New York show Republican presidential candidate Warren G Harding leading with a large margin over Cox and a strong showing for the Republican ticket in state races. Across 5,586 precincts reporting, Harding leads Cox by about two and a half to one, with Fowler also performing well in the party sweep. Analysts caution results are preliminary and Wyoming and nationwide trends remain uncertain as vote tallies continue.
