Memorial Day in Cheyenne Honors Civil War Veterans

Memorial day observances in Cheyenne included speeches by Attorney H. Ridgely at Lakeview cemetery and Father James Hartman at Olivet. A large parade led by the Cadet band and various military and veterans groups moved through the city under flags and patriotic display.

Auto wreck in Utah leaves two dead and one injured

In American Pork Utah on May 80 a learner driver lost control of a car that tumbled over a high embankment and struck a pole. A. B. Rockhill and son Milton were killed and Mrs. Rockhill was seriously hurt.

Armour Heads Business Men for Colonel Roosevelt

A voluntary nationwide organization led by J Ogden Armour aims to sway delegates to back Roosevelt at the Republican National Convention. The effort spans all states, with Illinois headed by Armour, following a New York launch eight days prior. Final arrangements for the Progressive convention on June 7 were announced. Roosevelt also spoke at a Memorial Day event in Kansas City outlining his platform from preparedness to tariffs and social justice, and criticizing pacifists and Wilson administration policies.
