Denver May 25 A formal call for the Republican state assembly to meet July 16 was issued by J F Vivien state chairman. Delegates will be chosen for state offices and the U S senate race to be decided at the September 10 primaries. The apportionment provides 913 delegates with Denver County to send 146.

Fourteen American servicemen captured by Germans in World War II

Washington May 25 The war department announced that four officers and ten enlisted men formerly listed as missing are now prisoners of the Germans. The officers named include Lieutenants J. J. Meredith and James F. Crawford with others listed by last name and home town. All are interned in Camp Karlburg.

Mork Airmen Killed in Midair Collision Near Waco

Lieutenant William B. Kuen of Cynwyd Pennsylvania and Private William Miller of Philadelphia died when their aircraft collided at about 600 feet. The two occupants of the other machine were unharmed.
